No-exam life insurance
Learn who's eligible for fast-track underwriting, how the process works, and what happens if you don't qualify.
Several carriers offer accelerated underwriting: they evaluate qualified applicants using application information, prescription databases, motor vehicle records and public databases instead of requiring a medical exam. In many cases, approval happens within hours. Each quote on this site indicates whether exams are required, conditional, or not needed.
What it changes
Accelerated underwriting still requires verification of your answers. A policy issued based on inaccurate information may be challenged for up to two years. If the carrier's systems flag anything, they may request additional testing or exams; you can decide whether to proceed.
Who tends to qualify
Generally, applicants younger than 60 applying for amounts up to the carrier's internal accelerated limit, without major health conditions and without tobacco use for twelve or more months. Recent blood work from a doctor's visit may be substituted for an exam at some carriers.
If an exam is required, a paramedical examiner will visit you at home or work in the Modesto area for a quick 20–30 minute assessment, at no cost to you. Often, examination results actually improve a health rating for applicants in good condition.
